Hi, my siblings and I are having problems accessing an Italian Postal bond funds. My parents took it out years ago and it has matured.
Hello, one more question! Is it relatively easy to open a bank account in Italy? My brother lives in the UK and is going over to Italy this summer and hopes to open an account there. He will be bringing a passport and driving license with him.
Hello everyone, just a quick question. We have inherited two Italian Post Office Bonds which mature soon. Once matured can the funds be transferred to a UK bank?
Thank you. Ive just been reading about codice fiscale! We are both dual nationality (born in the UK to Italian parents). Applying for one can be done via the Italian Consulate, Ive just read, so a little easier than i first thought. Good idea to choose the bank ahead of time. Anything to smooth that Italian beurocracy road! Many thanks.
Thank you Alan. Yes it can be done via the Italian Consulate, but the form that is to be completed is all in Italian and I really don’t understand it as my Italian isn’t great. As my brother will be going over there this summer I thought he could transfer the funds from there, with the help of an Italian relative translating of course. Sometimes face to face is easier than trying to deal with the Italian Consulate in London! Many thanks.
Thank you Francesca, but why do I need your help? My question is simply can funds in an Italian Post Office be transferred to a UK bank account. The answer is either yes or no? Thank you anyway.
That's great thank you, I will have a look.
