The Perseids appear to come from the direction of the Persius constellation so if you look generally North or better still point your i-Pad you'll get there. There are also a few from Delta Aquarid which come across from the South I think.

The local comune recently started a purge on stranieri who had not got an 'agibilita' for their property. Large fines were being dished out so we started to get organised.

If you have internet of some sort and need a source of material for 4 year old and everybody else, then you might consider buying a little box called Apple TV. I hate to say this about a company that is so 'not open source' but this works really well and you can watch loads of free movies and clips and educational stuff too.

As for Spain - yes some fabulous bits in a dry deserty sort of way but they did steal a lot of real estate recently and it will be hard to trust them again. Having said that a carefully executed purchase could be very shrewd right now. France? Well Im not sure they all like us much and why not? Centuries of war and then an annual invasion of caravans. OK, food and wine is the best so I'm sure France will get her fair share of the 700,000 annual retirees but Italy must have her share too.OK - a question for the panel then. I think I read from previous posts that the charges are waived for anyone who left a car there before the charges arrived.... however if you find yourself inconvenienced in any way have a chat with Francesco at the Avis desk... he's a good man and speaks English too... best place to hire from too as the rest of the plane will be queued up at the sponsored Hertz desk and Avis pre booked is quite cheap. I wonder what the situation would be if you got a new ticket from the entry machine and then used that to drive out??? One of the car parks is free for an hour anyway.

... just been looking at http://robssatellitetv.webs.com/ where there is all the info and lots of interesting chat on the forum. It seems that 28.5E position will be back up in July. After that, as now, it all comes down to your location and the footprint of the satellite. I know folks here in Umbria still get FTA TV with circa 1m dishes. The forum chat implied that equipment made a big difference - specifically Opticom lnb's - and Humax receivers.
