Has anyone had any experience with the Lycee in Florence to relate please?  The dilemma with further education for an 11 year old boy looms.  Already fluent in Italian it would certainly be a great asset for him to go to a French school.

Just out of interest are there any Scottish reeling clubs operating out there? I'm starting one in Umbertide where there seem to be a few enthusiasts and others willing to have a go.

The Perseids appear to come from the direction of the Persius constellation so if you look generally North or better still point your i-Pad you'll get there. There are also a few from Delta Aquarid which come across from the South I think.

The local comune recently started a purge on stranieri who had not got an 'agibilita' for their property. Large fines were being dished out so we started to get organised.

... no mentions for the RAV4 so far... this is a very car like 4x4 which with the 177bhp turbo diesel goes like stink but still is pretty much best in class for economy. 6 gears give quiet long legs for big journeys. masses of airbags and anti-skid stability system makes it as fool proof as they come. Mine is great on snow and drives happily around other cars which are sliding around doing the Torvill and Dean thing. As for how to ascend your hill... it seems that there is no tyre or chain that is good enough so perhaps you should change the nature of the hill - seriously - a nice grippy rough laid concrete surface with regular salt for example. You can't beat the laws of physics but if you are that close to the limits you'll have to keep a snowmobile in a shed at the bottom of the hill.

it sounds as though you are only half way to a good heating system.... try to replace the gas boiler with a wood stove and back boiler feeding a heat store, otherwise you will be paying four times as much for heating. Get a wood stove ready heat store which can also accomodate a heat pump then you will be virtually gas free and future proofed.

One night last summer someone we had just had supper with got stung by one of those big wasp things and went into shock and stopped breathing... luckily a neighbour whacked in an epi-pen and brought her back to life again... so the usual idea is to start off for pronto sicorso when stung.  Also ticks - festering bites that never heal can lead to serious complications and even brain damage so ALWAYS go to pronto sicorso for a course of anti Bi's. Chopping out the bite area follwed by a couple of stitches is the normal course of action.
