A question for TV techies if I may. I know about getting catchup TV etc from the UK by using a VPN and this works fine to a computer.

Just read an old post from Bunterboy with regard to solar panel angles. The accepted wisdom is to angle them the same as your latitude which is moving towards a winter bias.

If you have internet of some sort and need a source of material for 4 year old and everybody else, then you might consider buying a little box called Apple TV. I hate to say this about a company that is so 'not open source' but this works really well and you can watch loads of free movies and clips and educational stuff too.

I wonder what the situation would be if you got a new ticket from the entry machine and then used that to drive out??? One of the car parks is free for an hour anyway.

... just been looking at http://robssatellitetv.webs.com/ where there is all the info and lots of interesting chat on the forum. It seems that 28.5E position will be back up in July. After that, as now, it all comes down to your location and the footprint of the satellite. I know folks here in Umbria still get FTA TV with circa 1m dishes. The forum chat implied that equipment made a big difference - specifically Opticom lnb's - and Humax receivers.
