Anyone used these here in Italy and if so did they work out ok and where do you buy them?
This link in para 8 http://www.delgiudice.clara.net/ENG/NEW-IVIE-TAX.htm indicates there is the concept of "freehold" and "leasehold" here in Italy, does anyone know
Does anyone know if you can get RAI (in fact all Italian digital channels) on a Sky Italia digi box and how?
Anyone else had bother with the above company - see here http://www.tripadvisor.co.
Hi We need urgent information on this as we have been told what looks like rubble to us is "stabilizzante" a mix of gravel and sand to harden off and level out an area where a building has been knocked down to create a solid base....?
Hi Has anyone any idea if the Italian Poste has the equivalent of a bankers draft and if so, are there are any limits on the amount and what is the cost...?
Anyone care to hazard a guess at the current cost to have an old(ish) 250sqm house rewired? Also do you know if they do low level voltage lighting?
We are unsure about moving articles over there as opposed to buying when we get there, but know it will likely cost more to buy over there and be more hassle. So we want to get an idea of the cost of moving some of our stuff out there?
A long shot it may be of help following on from Alan's post. We found Ikea, as you would suspect, followed the same product codes and indeed products in both the UK and Italy. So you could visit a UK Ikea to check if their flatpack would fit.
Mondo here may have what you want, but it looks like their delivery is now a whopping 14% of the total cost. There is Maisons here, but I don't know if they do what you are after or delivery. Neither are L'Aquila but both are near each other in Pescara Nord. Looking at where you are I suspect it will be difficult and you are right to look for a local shop as it would be better. Try Pagine Gialle here to look for something closer. For some reason I can't get access from here in the UK. It might be you have to wing it and pick a bed up in the likes of Ikea or the above. Note a basic base and a mattress (reti é materassi) might fit in a large car, but you would need to measure. If Mondo you would need to either pay online or go to the shop and pick up at the warehouse, post again if you want more info.
You can calculate it here, but you will probably need to get some of the information from your Comune website.
Have a look on Google here and pick the nearest. They are not the cheapest places...
Ah so it's the mag, time to leave...
You can do most things in Italy, but it would be good to have.
Alan I suspect my post does not read well for your dispensation, however open fires as nice as they are IMHO have little on a woodburner, which would give much better output (for the same input) AND just as good ambient effect. The little gaseous images produced in a woodburner are superb . Also coming back to a home with a temperature of -4c in the living room a open fire will take x10 to get you warm...
An open fire seems daft when you look at the efficiency, even if I love them it does not make sense. So replace with a woodBurner or pellet stove (if you must). Regards vents a small 12v pc vent/fan would suffice any option.
If you want an idea what an area is like, use Google street view here. This is the Montesilvano build area. Using a PC you can drag the mouse around to view the place or click on the road in front to drive around. Basically it's a suburb of Pescara, personally I would look further North at somewhere like Silvi or Pineto. Note the railway runs the entire length of the coast between you and the sea.
I'm not too sure it is the same "Rightmove" mentioned in an earlier post, but this Rightmove site here has houses listed to get some ideas. However the best thing about it is it is telling you for each house who the agent is selling. From this you will be able to find their websites - good hunting!
