Hi for those wondering what a gravity system is, it's actually a convection system. Using the fact that the density of a liquid (water) changes with temperature, it gets less dense so therefore lighter with temperature increase. This means that colder water in the system is more dense (farthest away from the boiler) and therefore heavier will pushh the water back to the boiler. I've just put a 6 rad system in my house in Palombaro. The top connection comes out of the top of the boiler and goes vertically upwards to upstairs to the highest point (rising gently all the way if poss) then back down to return to the boiler via the rooms you need to heat. The beauty of it is you can put the wood on go out and not c**p yourself worrying about a power cut. If the power is cut, you come home to a lovely warm house your neighbours are shivering cos there gas systems have shut down. The one with a wood fired pumped system are frantically throwing hot fire out of their stufa's or the their overflow pipe is 'blowing off steam' like the Flying Scotsman ready to leave kings cross with the ten o clock non stop! Invite them round for a warm, a glass of vino and get to know some more friends.

Hi JanJ         A dongle is a device which you plug into your usb port. It works like a mobile phone to give you a broadband connection to the internet. Go to your nearest mobile phone shop (in Italy) and tell thyem where you live (you will need to have your codice fiscale with you) ask them for their best dea to suit your needs. My deal is with tim as above, I get 40 odd hours a month, I'm usually there once a month for a week, so I can use pretty much as I like. This has cost me E99 for the year. To start it off ask the people in the shop to put your sim card in. They will tell you how long it will take to activate (usually 24hrs)  Plug in your dongle follow the instructions on the screen and off you go! hope that helps                  Good luck Chris

I just don't think it's as good as the old one, everything is harder to find takes longer. Remember as soon as you opened the page all the headings were there. Can we go back to it? I'm sure the number of people looking and writing has dropped since the change

Hi everyone     I've had experience of this at Ancona. When I returned the girl checking the car didn't look round the car she went straight to a couple of tiny scratches. I think the trick is don't go for the inclusive damage deal. They get a scratch on a car, then make sure it next goes out on one of those inclusive deal. They then get the scratch done on their all inclusive insurance. If you've been got on this one, why not go the whole hog, go stock car racing down a cliff then drve through a couple of rivers use the boot as a barbecue. Then see if they can find their prearranged scratches!!!!!!! (only joking)

Have a look in Abruzzo. I guess the prices here are at least 30% lower. The scenery will take your breath away. Last week I was sunbathing out side the house and looking across at a 2,750 Metre mountain with snow on it! Its just as hot as any where else but because of the mountains no where near as humid as it gets elsewhere. Im told in summer that instead of struggling to sleep in the hot night temperatures the natural convection currents will supply gentle cool breezes. I dont think I've seen an air con unit on a house! I got my place through vigneverde have a look. I hope you are happy with whatever you choose best of luck to you in your decision.

Just got home, having flown from Rimini to Liverpool. All hand luggage was weighed. The lady doing it was very fair, 'the missus' was over, she transferred stuff to my bag which was now 1kg over and 'the missus' was still 1.5 Kg up,the nice lady let us go. Thanks Ryanair Rimini.
