Elisa Scarton

:

Born and bred in Melbourne, Elisa followed love to Tuscany (how cliché?) in 2007. She now lives in a part of the region that earned the eternal disdain of Dante Alighieri and whose name doubles as a swearword in colloquial Italian. It’s called the Maremma and it’s pretty fantastic. A journalist by trade, she recently published a guidebook after spending almost a decade working on Maremma Tuscany, the foremost English-language travel website on the area. These days, she pens My Maremma Tuscany, a blog dedicated to helping expats live beautifully and resourcefully in rural Italian destinations, providing advice, recipes and DIY projects inspired by the limited supplies available in most small towns.
