Hi, we have stayed at several Italian hotels following the useful information that you can find in this site:www.dogwelcome.itYou can also find restaurants which also accept the dogs. Our experience has always been excellent; however, you must book ahead and let them know that you are bringing an animal. Also, our dog is small, extremely well behaved and used to travel and to stay at hotels. Better than some guests

Hi William We have travelled through Italy with our 2 Labradors, and never had many problems . Most of the chain Hotels (Ibis,Holiday Inn etc) will take dogs, as long as you are happy that they won't run amok in the hotel. Go online and plan a route looking at Hotels near where you are travelling, and best to book ahead pointing out that you have a doggy chums. Should be no problems. Enjoy.

We have used Ibis and Novotel with our dog when we were travelling long distance, and they are always happy to accept dogs. Another good chain to look at is Best Western. We have used many of these hotels all across Italy, and all of them have accepted our dog in our room, no charge! Best of luck!

We have used many hotels in Italy over the past ten years and had no trouble with the dogs being accepted. Like others we have used Ibis and Novatel, but in more recent times have used the excellent site of Bookings.com which allows you to state preferences like parking or pets welcome. In fact have just returned today from a short stay on Lake Bolsena in a very good hotel which welcomed the dog and us and there was no extra charge for the dalmatian. By the way Ibis and Novatel charge for the dog.Good hunting.
