The Guardian newspaper has an innovative, interactive review of Andrew Losowsky's book The Doorbells of Florence.  A photographer as well as a writer, Losowsky captures the different doorbells in Florence and then imagines the lives of those who might answer.  This great interactive review offers a choice of six doorbells to ring (or click on), together with a map showing their location in Florence, and then tells the stories of the people behind the doors.

The stories are beautifully written and the interactive approach lends itself to this particular book.  Highly recommended!

[HINT:  it may not be obvious how to move between the stories and doorbells.   Look for the 'Back' and 'Next' buttons on the bottom left-hand side.]

I would go on a trip to Florence just to ring each of them!  Now I'm too curious to now who would answer!!

You know..when I find a piece of paper, an old ticket, one shoe on a street..I always wonder "whom did it belong?" "How would it be to talk to them?" "What kind of story have those things?"...who knows...
