Hello from N.E. London

Hello everyone,I have been reading this site for some time now but only joined very recently.Both my parents are italian and from the Abruzzo region from Popoli and Tocco da Casauria towns.I have been to Italy many many times in all different ways including a train from Dover when I was a child.I have recently bought a small plot of 1.2 acres or 4800 sq mtrs with 40 olive trees.Last year was our first harvest.We drove from NE London to Tocco and spent 10 days in great company working our socks off to get it done.It was a great experience and I met some new friends along the way.Went back in A couple of months ago and pruned all the trees.The plan is to retire there or do 6 months about,only wish could fast forward the clock without the getting old bit.There is an old ruin on the land which we will develop in the future when my funds recover.For now I am just happy to have my small slice of italy.Anyone else near us?Would be nice for a get together if your about when I come back in Octoberish depending when the olives ripen.                     Vince..........
