Eataly Opens in Milan

Eataly is coming to Milan. The Italian food emporium chain is scheduled to open a new store in Piazza XXV Aprile on March 18. And it plans to do it in style: three floors, 5,500 square meters devoted to the sale of food, wine, books and household items, as well as areas for workshops, meetings, presentations – all related to the world of food and wine- and “emotional areas,” such as a table and chairs placed under an olive tree where customers can sit while learning about the origins of olive oil.

The central part of the building is empty, surrounded by glass walls; right in the middle, on the first floor, is a stage visible from every point in the mega store where actors, singers and musicians will perform.

On each floor are sales and restaurant areas, as well as production areas for mozzarella, bread and pastries.
