Maestro (m.)/Maestra (f.) – teacher (used for pre-school and elementary school teachers)

Professore (m.)/Professoressa (f.) – professor (used for high school and university teachers)

Insegnante – instructor (e.g. il mio insegnante di italiano – my Italian instructor)

Alunno/a or studente/studentessa – student

Scolaro/a - pupil

Libro – textbook
