Silvio Hood?

Silvio Berlusconi is a wanted man: an unnamed Italian publishing company has told the author of a book about the world’s greatest rule-breakers that an Italian edition of the work must contain a chapter on the colourful Premier. The French author, Laurent Maréchaux, has said that he is willing to write the chapter.

In the book, which in English is entitled, “Outlaws! Adventures of Pirates, Rebels and Other Scoundrels”, Mr Berlusconi would find himself in the company of rebels such as Calamity Jane, IRA activist Bobby Sands, French poets Villon and Rimbaud, Lawrence of Arabia, law-breakers Butch Cassidy and Bonnie and Clyde and, of course, Robin Hood.

Laurent Maréchaux has been a bit of an outlaw himself in his time, for his student activism landed him in jail and in the 1980s he spent some time with the Mujahideen in Afganistan. He founded Solidarité Afghanistan and later a communications agency in Paris. In 2001 he decided to cut loose and travel around the world.

There has been no reaction about the proposal from Mr Berlusconi….yet.

Do you think Berlusconi should feature in the book?
