Missoni Collaborates for Cheaper Clothes

While Italian luxury brand Prada has turned up its nose at the idea of making clothes more affordable, Missoni has just confirmed that they will be collaborating with American superstore Target this autumn.

The high-end design house has plans to launch an extensive line of products with the US-based mass retailer. Famous brands such as Proenza Schouler and Rodarte have previously teamed up with Traget, but the Missoni line will be the most comprehensive designer collaboration to date.

Missoni for Target will feature women’s, men’s and children’s apparel but will also include a range of house ware. From bedsheets to dinner plates, the line promises Missoni’s signature zigzag prints on over 400 pieces.

The collaboration will be available in stores from 13 September to 22 October, but the lure of low prices will surely mean that this taste of Italian luxury is quickly snapped up by consumers.
