Marble for stairs

Can anyone give me an idea of how much marble is for stairs (per sq meter?) and how much should a tradesman cost to lay? Also terrace tiles is there a going rate that a tradesman charges to lay tiles? We have been quoted 20euros a square meter plus materials , don't know if this is good or not.  It's approx 80 square meters in total.   Any advise would be goodAli
