We have had our house here (prima casa) since September 2007. We now want to return to the UK but we are not going to sell our house, but retain it as a holiday home.
In summer our panels produce boiling water and sometimes the pressure release valve emits boiling water.We will be going back to the UK for part of this summer.
Monica, if you have online banking with your italian account you should be able to fill in the F24 on your bank site online and pay in that way, with no need to register with the Agenzia Entrate. Steve

We must be very fortunate here in Friuli. Our commune website calculates the amount and then provides a modulo for your personal data. This then links to the F24 which is filled automatically with the correct codes and amounts. After printing this can be taken to the bank post office or agenzia entrate for payment. I transferred the data from this F24 to the F24 on my bank website and payed online. All in all this was much easier than I thought it would be. Steve
As an italian resident you must fill in a tax return. There are fines for failure to do so as we have just discovered! Your pensions may be less than the tax free allowance, 7500 euro at present. Any tax due is only the difference between what you pay in the UK and what is owed in Italy. I hope this helps and saves you money in the future. Steve
Thanks Ram. If I understand you correctly we will not have to pay any penalty. We have no intention of renting the house or buying another. We may well become resident again when we are of pensionable age. Steve
Some RAI programs are enctypted on Sky, when they compete with sky sports etc, otherwise RAI 1 2 and 3 are available along with mediaset channels Steve rai
You can get most channels through sky, but obviously they will still charge. If you want terrestrial digital you can add a "digital key" to the sky box for a nominal cost. Alternatively any digital sat box will do for free to air channels. Steve
Thanks everyone for your replies. Hi Sagraiasolar, Our sysyem is a Supersolar passive system with a panel mounted tank. If the water is turned of and the tank empties will the panels themselves be damaged by overheating or is that unlikely?
