HI, I JUST BOUGHT A FLAT IN MILAN AND HAD IT RENOVATED, BUT I NOW FACED WITH LEGAL ACTION FROM A BUILER WHO DID NOT COMPLETE AND IS CHARGING ME FOR ITEMS I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT OR AUTHORISE, i AM LOOKING FOR EXPATS AND LAWYERS WHO HAVE DEALT WITH T
HI CONOR,I BOUGHT A PROPERTY IN MILAN WITH A LOAN FROM MY PARENTS, AND HAD WORK CARRIED OUT BY A BUILDER WHO TOOK AND VERY LONG TIME AND DID NOT COMPLETE THE WORK, I WITHHELD HIS FINAL PAYMENT AND NOW HE HAS ANOTHER BILL ON TOP WHICH IS WORK I DID NOT AUTHORIZE OR HAD ANY KNOWLEDGE OF. I GAVE HIM AMPLE OPPORTUNITY TO COMPLETE THE WORK AND RETURN MY KEYS WHICH HE DID NOT DO, SO I FINALLY HAD LOCKS CHANGED. THE BUILDER IS NOW BRINGING CHARGES AGAINST ME, AND THE MONEY I WAS TO GIVE HIM I HAVE NOW SPENT ON SEEKING LEGAL ADVICE IN WITH AN ENGLISH LAWYER. I AM CURRENTLY A STUDENT IN MILAN AND NEED HELP FROM SOMEONE WHO SPEAKS ENGLISH IN EITHER A NO WIN NO FEE BASIS OR LEGAL AID.
