You may want to have a look at Italia Wi-fi.com for your internet. They promise 100% coverage throughout Italy, either with satellite/wimax, for the internet.....and apparently you can do this by monthly subscription, cost according to how much you want to upload/download etc. I'm not sure if you had the satellite option, whether the dish would work for tv too, but it might be worth checking out their web-site or contacting them at  http://www.italia-wifi.com/Internet-Connections/Broadband-Adsl-Satellite/Wimax-in-Italy.html All the best

I think they have sorted their web site now! Tariffs are 0.075 cents per kwh and they do charge 10% IVA....I believe the sample bills were old ones, and all info has been updated!

Hi there, I've heard of a company who will do either satellite or wimax connections, apparently up to 50 mbps, who say they can cover most of Italy with reliable and fast connections. They'll do a test at your home, to see which would be the better for you. (I haven't needed them yet as I do ok in my bit of the back woods, but would certainly bear them in mind for the future). They're called italia-wifi.com so it may be worrth checking out their web-site. Good luck!

For those of us cheesed off paying non-residents' fees,an extra 10% of the bill, for our electricity - and getting no joy after repeated calls to Enel, there may be a way to save money by switching providers. One such alternative is Italy Powered, who now also do gas. Check them out at: http://www.italypowered.com/
