Email Troubles Over

05/16/2009 - 11:39

Apologies to all for all the e-mails coming your way - a setting was left on that meant that everyone received a notification for every single thing happening in the Help Group. That setting has now be switched off (people need to opt in in order to manage subscriptions). In addition, I've removed all of you from receiving the notifications, so other that breathing a sigh of relief you don't need to do anything more right now.For those that *do* want to manage their subscriptions you need to:1. Click on "My Account" on the right hand side menu under your username.2. Click on "Notifications" on the tab in your account page. You can then either create subscriptions, cancel them or temporarily opt-out of them. The last option means that the system will remember the subscription so if you do eventually decide to re-activate it is there.Hope this helps and once more apologies for all the e-mails.

I am not sure if this is the correct place to write this. I have a problem signing in - locked out after 5 attempts - perhaps I have not remembered my password. Duh!However despite this I do seem to be signed in, otherwise how could I send this message - weird. Can anyone there help me please? Thanks

Ciao Lambo - it may be that you were trying to sign into the old forums. They will lock someone after five attempts. This site will keep you signed it unless you explicitly sign out - so you don't need to sign in every time you come back to it.

Hi I have been a registered member of this site for many years as cdavies. I couldn't log into the new site, found it very complex and so I re registered with another user name. I was a member of several groups but don't seem to exist any longer. Can the history be linked or not?

Hi, as the member agreement has changed we asked everyone interested to re-register once more so that you all had the chance to see the changed member agreement.  The old forums are available here http://www.italymag.co.uk/forums so no information has been lost but the only facility active is the private message system so you can keep in touch with members and exchange e-mails, etc.
