Good morning. We have a property in Puglia and recently our neighbour has begun to lease his small plot of land to a dog rescue kennel. The kennel lies within 100metres of our property and the impact is so severe that we will not be able to use the proerty for holidays due to the noise.Have any other readers had this experience and if so can you advise how best to deal with it. Currently we are trying to open up communication but this is proving difficult.Thank you,Jane.

Assuming that the owner has done everything 'in regola' and the Comune is happy, then your only recourse is on the noise front. You will have to record the noise, and call the carabinieri, ,who will probably - at your expense - want a sound engineers report for decibel levels to decide if the noise is a nuisance. I would first check with the Comune to see if they know and have any opinion about it.
