Georgette,I love that you are a 'Texan Transplant!'  I am from Texas myself, but I have an unadulterated love for Italia, especially Roma.  Do you have any suggestions about what kind of work might be available for Americans who want to move to Italy?

Hello! Thanks for checking out our forums here on ITALY Magazine. You know that is one of the hardest questions to answer because finding work is pretty hard for the locals, you have to be creative here. While many people find work teaching English, I personally believe that just because you speak the language, this doesn't mean you can teach it. That being said, if you can work online or independently, it would make life much easier. Or find a reputable company in the city you want to learn, you just have to figure out how your skill set could be desirable for the company to want to hire you and not a local Italian. I wish you the best of luck and keep us posted on your progress!
