"If you find ANY Bank that will lend you money without proof of the ability to pay it back, let me know....Unless you have been living on Mars for the last two years you will know that there has been a World wide Banking crisis and equity alone does not mean that Banks will lend against it (it's called Security).... the last thing they need is another repossesed property to get rid of. If you do not have a Mortgage on it try and get a Business loan for a B&B and use the House as collateral, maybe....or start buying Lotto tickets.."   Is it really neccessary to answer in this way?

As a well respected thinker once said "The world is an infinitely complex place". There is no chance of being able to forecast forex rates in the medium to long term. All you can do is to follow your current beliefs and plan for the downside. It is  also especially interesting to note that years ago no-one was talking about bying a property anticipating making a gain through the Euro. Count the many "self" congratulatory articles about it now though.

Thanks Alan I will post if it is. Shas, I don't see him on that forum but then again I don't want to spend too much time looking there as it sometimes seems to be a case of déjà vu repeating itself. if you get my drift

Try http://casa.it/  to get a broad idea but to save massive amonts of time narrow your search down to a region then a province and then a commune first Good luck
