it depends on what you man by "get on" with the mayor. Corruption leads down a slippery slope and non Italians (or perhaps even Italians) start playing a dangerous game.

If you are loosing documents you shouldlook at getting powers surge/uninteruptble power supply. They can be quite cost eefective especially if they protect your pc etc agianst power surges/lightining.   Here is an example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-600VA-UPS-UNINTERRUPTIBLE-ANTI-SURGE-POWER...

Many of the machines available under different brand names in the uK use the same parts and one company is responsible for "servicing" about 80% of the brands. This company is useless and you can wait up to 3 weeks for a fridge to be repaired. (Major name expensive fridge third time it broke).   So I agree, therre is no value in buying "quality" names as the after sales service in my experience is pathetic.

Saw this article and it sounded as if Marche had been hit again New snow blizzard sweeps across Marche region 09:4612 FEB 2012  (AGI) Ancona - A new snow blizzard swept across the Marche region, especially in the province of Fermo. The blizzard persisted throughout the night with gusts of wind with a speed of up to 80 km an hour. The whole province is self-enclosed and the roads of access are practically unviable, mountain roads are evenly covered by a thick layer of ice and not even the region's coastline has been spared. . .

I think it is really sad the way the Italy “forums” have gone. I remember how I was blown away by the old forum when I first found it. The vibrancy, the breadth and depth of knowledge and experience was amazing. So many people willing to offer advice and help.     Unfortunately some people with deplorable social skills ran riot and destroyed the whole concept. Small people hiding behind their computers saying things they would never have the guts to say face to face. People whose lives seemed to revolve around their online personas.     I had a strong suspicion that the new "community" (oh how I hate that overused word) would not work. It is clunky, difficult to navigate, unappealing and unique (in a bad way). When people are used to a certain structure will they ever have the time to learn your new system? I look at many forums regularly and the beauty of the standard forum format is to be able to glance at multiple threads and in a second tell if there is something of interest for you; not having to root around and check page after page of poorly designed bumph.   Anyway, the poisonous people went off and formed their own forum which I had great delight seeing implode. Proving that there really are some people who should never be allowed on the internet.   RIP Italy Forum
