Buon giorno, What I did was take the local buses from Sorrento going down south along the famous Amalfi coast. That in itself is breathtaking enough, let alone driving in an own or rented vehicle. It's best to start the trip in the morning. I do not think it a wise idea to drive this route in a private car, since it is quite steep and many curves which ask for 150% attention of the driver, plus oncoming traffic can be quite frightening since it is seen only at the last minute or so. Be careful if you can't help but do it your way.MAri
