What an interesting week for Italy! Carnival, Valentine's Day, Sanremo Music Festival all in one week. You could throw a Carnival party with a 'Venetian Romance' theme and a good Italian playlist! And there you thought I was just joking! Well, we actually received an invitation to such a party and are now going through all my old Venice stuff to find the right outfit for the Festa. My daughter, who belongs to a fully globalised generation, will stick to her Disney Frozen's Elsa dress, but I just convinced her a traditional silver Venetian mask could work. All I need to do now is get ready to fry some Venetian Carnival Galani to take to the party.
