When we planned to publish a feature about one of Florence oldest pharmacies this week, we did not expect this would be the week Italy was going to be hit by influenza, leaving also half of the ITALY Magazine team in bed with the flu! Luckily, we also suggested good remedies for it. Our article on olive oil taught us that one of its natural compounds has an anti-inflammatory action similar to that of anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen and our foodie guide was dedicated to the number one Italian remedy against the flu, Sicilian oranges. So it looks like our weekend will include an extra splash of olive oil on the chicken soup and plenty of freshly squeezed orange juice. To cheer us up, Sunday night, we will tune in to watch the Golden Globe hoping that Paolo Sorrentino will bring home an award for his amazing movie La Grande Bellezza. Forza Paolo!
