Rooms

A €6 million refurbishment and luxury upgrade programme (unveiled in April 2017) has seen the renovation of 41 of the 70 guest rooms overseen by the Austrian interior designer, Reinhard Köck, adding 27 luxury suites and 5 penthouse suites to the offering.

All the suites feature spa loggias and some have their own whirlpool and private sauna. The penthouse suites each have an outdoor cinema and the Luxury Penthouse Suite Dolce Vita Premium Star also has a private pool. The new luxury accommodation is situated within an entirely new main building (the ‘Stammhaus’).

There are in total 17 room types across single, double & suite options.

Facilities & Services

Named the "Best Hotel Spa of Italy" by the European Health & SPA Award in 2016, Preidlhof’s impressive 5000m² Spa and Wellness facilities offer a vast array of complementary, medical health & beauty therapies.

The €5 million Spa Tower unveiled in 2015 comprises six floors with 16 different sauna, steam and relaxation spaces, some outdoors. There are sauna infusions every day with a certified sauna master.  The Spa Tower was purposely designed to maximise the views and there is an outdoor infinity sky pool and sun deck on the top floor.

The Spa Tower also has the world’s first Deep Sea Relaxation Room, offering guests the ultimate relaxation experience. Guests are completely engulfed in light, sound and vibration as over 12,500 LED lights dance across all four sides, as well as the ceiling and the floor of a hermetically sealed room.

Preidlhof’s exceptional health and wellbeing facilities and services include:

A wellness water park (with 450 m² of surface water) featuring several outdoors pools of varying temperatures, whirlpools, adventure showers and an outdoor Kneipp water path

Central to Preidlhof’s wellbeing philosophy and success is the promotion of the ‘Good Life’ – La Dolce Vita - and this is interwoven into every facet of its offering.

Place to visit

Merano, the closest town to Preidlhof, is a famous historical spa town. An oasis of wellbeing dating back in the 19th century, its surroundings are home to various natural spectacles, including gorges, waterfalls and high peaks.

A special highlight of the city is the award-winning botanical Gardens at Trauttmansdorff Castle; these are nestled into a twelve-hectare Amphitheatre often visited by Empress Elizabeth of Austria. Within the same castle, there is The Touriseum, Provincial Museum of Tourism, covering 200 years of tourism history in Tyrol and Merano.

Preidlhof is also close to Bolzano, the capital city of South Tyrol province, which is set in a valley with vineyards. A gateway to the Dolomites mountain range in the Italian Alps, Bolzano has two lifestyles, one Northern European and the other more Mediterranean, which can be clearly seen in the historic and artistic treasures of this city.
