A question about "fibre" broadband..
We're from the UK where "fibre" normally just means "fibre to the street cabinet". It's quite rare to actually be able to get Fibre to the Home.
Now in Italy - if I check availability on, say, Vodafone, we can only get Fibre to the Cabinet, around 70 Mbps. OK, that's quite fast, but..
However if I check Fastweb, we can get Fibre to the Home, up to 1Gbps.
Before I go ahead and order that I just wanted to check: is that Fastweb's own network? So if we want the fastest connection, we must order from Fastweb?
Or, do several providers use the same fibre to the home network and we could order it from a different supplier?
I don't know if there's anything wrong with Fastweb, I just thought I'd see if there are more options.
