Hi. I am in the process of selling a property in Italy and due to complete in the next few weeks. I do have a Euro  account in the UK but would like to know if I am obliged to hand over the keys before the proceeds ofthe sale reach my bank account? I understand that it could take a few days to reach my account. Is it sufficient to have proof from the bank in Italy that the money is being transferred? Thank you.

if the transfer is made with a telegraphic transfer, in the SEPA circuit, as long as the UK is still in the EU - the transfer time is almost immediate, and in any case the CRO (interbank transfer code) is a valid guarantee that the payment is been actually carried out - Of course, whoever sends the money will be forced to pay the bank costs, which could be NOT irrelevant -
