My love for Venice is no mystery to ITALY Magazine's audience! I love the city in the winter mist, in the summer heat and even when there is 'acqua alta' flooding the calli (streets), but there is a time of the year that simply makes the city special, the end of summer. It is difficult to describe how exciting Venezia is in early September, the Film Festival, the Regata Storica, the stalls of Rialto Market offering new seasonal produce and a spectacular light that can turn any walk along the canals into an even more amazing experience. This week we shared our enthusiasm for La Serenissima with several dedicated articles, recipes and a special list of 10 top tips on what you can do for free in Venice. Hope you enjoyed our virtual 'gondola ride'!
