We are excited to be in full swing in one of our favorite seasons in Italy, in fact our ‘how to say’ was dedicated to expressing seasons and weather in Italian. There is so much to do, we wish we just had more time to do it. So we will just have to rely on you guys to enjoy the best of the boot for us. We suggest starting by visiting some of the most beautiful private and public gardens in Northern Italy, from baroque to botanical. Cin Cin, wine lover’s coming to Italy will rejoice after our ‘grape expectations’ article delving into some of the most popular grape varieties and the history behind them. Italy celebrated the birthday of one of its most cherished treasures on Wednesday: Leonardo da Vinci, the Renaissance genius born April 15, 1452. And on Thursday, the largest exhibition devoted to Leonardo since 1939 opened in Milan at Palazzo Reale, read (and see) more here. In other art news, the Advancing Women Artist’s Foundation has shared with us a trio of women artists who defied the mold in Renaissance Italy. The famous #expo2015 in Milan is opening in just a few weeks, we have a few ideas for what you can see besides the expo that should be on anyone’s mind coming to this dynamic city for the first time.
