As an Italian you are expected to dress tastefully and elegantly, ALWAYS! I will never forget that one time I went on holiday abroad and carried just comfortable sporty clothes to wear. One night, I wore the only 'one-nice-dress' I had squeezed into my backpack and received the following comment: "Hey! Now you look like an Italian!" That was the moment when I realised that we are all ambassadors of Made-in-Italy, and that fashion is to Italy much more than just clothes and brands. This is why we loved the current London's Victoria and Albert Museum's exhibition 'The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014' and sent two of our writers to review it and talk to the curator of the exhibit. This is the first major international exhibition about Italy's rich and influential contribution to fashion from the end of the Second World War to the present day. The exhibition explains the important role fashion had in the aftermath of the WWII in Italy. 'La moda' industry led to the development of the fashion and textile sectors that became a cornerstone of Italy’s post-war recovery and marked the beginning of the success of the Made-in-Italy brand which is still associated to high quality Italian premium goods.
