Where to Get the Best Views of the Cinque Terre

The best views of the Cinque Terre?

Halfway between the coast and the hills, 350 meters above the sea,  with gorgeous views over the vertical cliffs plunging into the sea, the gentle green slopes covered by vineyards, and the delightful villages punctuating this stretch of coast.

The images below were taken from road 370, between the tunnel that connects the Cinque Terre with the Gulf of La Spezia and the junction for Vernazza (the stretch of road from Vernazza to Monterosso is still closed following the 2011 flood; it is expected to re-open in a couple of months).

The road is twisty, narrow and full of curves; it is therefore best reached on foot, from one of the trails running nearby. The best views from here are over the villages of Corniglia and Manarola.  If you love taking photographs, this is a fantastic vantage point.

We don't know about you, but we can’t wait to go exploring this road!
