Where To Go To The Beach in Italy This Summer

Where are the most beautiful beaches in Italy? Here’s what the annual Touring Club / Legambiente 2019 guide says to help you plan your beach vacation in Italy, with particular attention to sea cleanliness, environmental awareness and quality of services.  

The five ‘sea sails’, the top award, includes 5 beaches in Sardinia, 3 in Sicily, 3 in Puglia, 2 in Campania, 2 in Tuscany, 1 in Liguria.

To top the list are:

1.Pollica and the Cilento Antico (province of Salerno, Campania);

2.Castiglione della Pescaia and Maremma (province of Grosseto, Tuscany);

3.Posada, Baronia and the Park of Tepilora (province of Nuoro, Sardinia). 

As for lakes, the top award goes to 3 lake resorts in Trentino Alto Adige, 1 in Veneto, 1 in Tuscany, 1 in Piedmont.

The top spots went to:

1.Molveno (Trento)

2.Sospirolo, Lake of Mis (Veneto)

3.Lake Garda (Gardone Riviera, Gargnano, Riva del Garda, Limone sul Garda, Tignale).
