I seem to remember quite a lot of information on the old site : http://www.italymag.co.uk/forums/10/food-drink Hope thius helps. I guess you will have to register, and I don't know how this works now.
>>And you can sell it again when you get home! The vignette is a sticker. It is illegal to use it not stuck to the windscreen. It sticks like something to a blanket and is impossible to take off in one piece, which is why my car still sports a 2008 vignette.
Thanks to Alan, I discovered this route two or so years ago, and it works. Approaching the border at the bridge over the Rhine, it looks busy, but it's just a load of trucks, waiting for customs clearance. You just sweep through. Our route was Alan's too, from Zebrugge, across Belgium, into Luxembourg, then France. We stopped for three nights in Colmar, then went on over St Gotthard. I might have tried that Swiss place if I'd known! There are lots of cheap "factory" hotels around Colmar/Mulhouse, but some nice small family ones - see http://www.logishotels.com/en/index.html
If you're really interested in joining, look at the "sticky" labelled registration. Read the post. Automatic registration was disabled because of a major spam problem. It may be that the webmaster is on holiday just now. Contrary to some opinions, it doesn't exist solely to pan this site, and sensible people are welcome
The star system on Moxie's avator posting on the forum seems to have been messed around a bit.Only in fun, probably, but it does demonstrate the possibilities

If you're going to be in daylight, use the pass instead of the tunnel. May cost you an hour, but worth it.
