Buongiorno Italy readers!

We have a new edition in our “Where to find Italy around the world” series, this time we’re headed to beautiful Dublin

You’ve probably spotted them around the stations and high streets of the peninsula’s major cities. Easily recognizable by their blown-up hemp leaves, tie die logos and emoji-plastered windows, Italy’s thousand or so ‘cannabis shops’ are by now a fixed part of the urban landscape. But how legitimate are these colourful businesses? We help break it down here

Perhaps there’s no other pasta dish that spells summer and the seaside like spaghetti alle vongole. It's one of our personal staff favourites and now you can learn more about this perfect "estate" dish also in Italian as part of our #duallanguage series.

For our series dedicated to true stories of buying and restoring Italian property, we interview a couple who bought a villa in northern Lazio to use in part as vacation rental.

Stuffed tomatoes aka "pomodori ripieni is our quintessential summer comfort food. Perfect as a one-dish meal that is satisfying but not too heavy, delicious straight out of the oven but just as welcomed the next day as cold leftovers.

This beautiful linen tablecloth is made in Italy from a design shop made up of creative artisans using everything from embroidery to the press, and painting. Their philosophy is to inspire people who appreciate both craftsmanship and contemporary design.

Being by the sea in Italy often give us an opportunity to try new and delicious fish dishes. When you look at the menu in a restaurant along the Italian coast, how will you know what to order? Here are names of some fish you will commonly find in Italian restaurants.

A small production yielding great results: discover Carmignano wine, produced in Tuscany since Etruscan times.

After years of neglect, the archeological site is breathing new life thanks to the ‘Great Pompeii Project,’ which, since 2012, has allowed the reopening of 38 buildings.

Our property of the week is a lovely two-bedroom apartment, part of a secure gated village overlooking the marina and old town of Tropea on the mediterranean coast of Calabria. With a large swimming pool and superb views over the island of Stromboli, it is conveniently close to the Lamezia Terme airport.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend from Georgette, your editor, and the Italy Magazine team.
