Prior to buying our little bit of Italy, I insisted on having a certificate of habitation fully signed and sealed. Does this have to be renewed at any point or is it only if I sell sometime in the future?

I don't dislike the lizards that bask in the sun and race around (and seem to bite each others tails?) the garden and rockery that we have.................but, this year we seem to have LOADS more than previous years.

There are probably some 30/50 holes in our lawn (ha...............lawn !!). More than I like, but, (yes I know they were here before we arrived), is there a way to reduce the population or getting them to like the field next to our garden ?

Am starting to rebuild a house and need a caravan so I can be on site. Small 1 person caravan needed in habitable condition, as soon as possible.

We have a number of external walls about a metre high, cement rendered on both sides and made of tufo blocks. Sadly the rendering keeps getting spalled off after the winter due to, I think water in the walls freezing and expanding.

Birmingham UK area with 95% dead yuccas this spring plus lots of ceanothus dead and indeed anything a bit tender, however I was not expecting more or less similar here in Lazio, the main victims seem to have been date palms , even well-established ones, oh and two of my lemon trees! Is this general in other areas of Italy?

I'm looking for chicken wire, but haven't been able to find any at the Brico / OBI-type d-i-y stores, or at the nurseries in our area. Can anyone suggest sources?

I live in Abruzzo, but travel to Lazio + Marche quite often, so it needn't be Abruzzo-based.
