Kate Middleton

words by Carol King The Duchess of Cambridge has been getting cookery lessons from her new Italian housekeeper, Antonella Fresolone, according to ‘US Weekly’. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hired the petite 42-year-old Fresolone a few weeks ago. Known as a good cook, Fresolone comes from Lamporecchio in Pistoia, Tuscany. An insider told the magazine that Fresolone has been teaching the Duchess and mother-to-be how to make “a number of new dishes” in the small kitchen at the royal couple’s home Nottingham Cottage, nicknamed ‘Nott Cott’ in the grounds of London’s Kensington Palace. The two-bedroom cottage has a couple of reception rooms and small yard. The Duke and Duchess have been staying there while renovations are carried out on Princess Margaret’s former apartment at Kensington Palace, which is a 21-room, four-storey townhouse. There is no information what dishes the Duchess is learning to prepare for her husband Prince William and their new baby due in July. Fresolone is said to be a dab hand at making home-baked bread and steaming bowls of pasta. However, it may not all be Italian fare as the Duchess is reported to have had cravings for spicy Indian curry during her pregnancy.
