There are several ski resorts you can easily reach by train, usually by regional trains, managed by Trenitalia and local companies such as Trenord.

 

Skiing with Trenitalia

Dolomiti Express

The Dolomiti Express is a train that leaves from the Trento train station and, in just over an hour, reaches the heart of Val di Sole. At the Daolasa-Commezzadura railway station, there is an 8-seater gondola lift which, in just 12 minutes, whisks you up to an altitude of 2,000 meters where the Campiglio-Dolomiti di Brenta-Val di Sole-Val Rendena ski resort is located, with 150 kilometers of ski slopes available.

Those who choose to reach Val di Sole by train get a discount on the price of the ski pass. Just show your train ticket when you buy your ski pass for the Folgarida-Marilleva ski area. In addition, to encourage the use of the train, the parking spaces at the Trento-Malé-Mezzana station in Trento are free of charge.

 

Trenord

Trains of Trenord line can be used to reach ski resorts in the region of Lombardy. You can even buy packages that include train, shuttle bus and skipass.
