89 Easter Traditions

Hi All,

I am curious to know what constitutes the 'traditional' Easter meal (for Friday and Sunday especially) in your locality (be that Italian or elsewhere)?

There seems to be a wealth of differing traditions, the only constant that I have found so far is that the Friday is normally a day for fish only (even for non-Catholics) and Sunday is usually a roast. That aside there seems to be tremendous variation from region to region (both within and outside of Italy).

As an Anglican, I was brought up with a fish-only day on Good Friday, and on Easter Sunday it was usually roast lamb with all the trimmings.

I now live on my own, but I still stick to the fish (sometimes not even fish) on Good Friday, and anything that I have in the freezer on Easter Sunday!
