We think that the holiday season is a good time to be thinking about helping other people - a good way to make more meaningful Christmas presents or New Year's resolutions. If you would like to contribute to Italian charities, the following list should help you choose a trustworthy and reliable one. Each of these organizations works in different fields and projects, allowing you to choose the donation most appealing to your personal spirit of giving.

- Telefono Azzurro

Telefono Azzurro is dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and operates in Italy since 1987 to promote children human rights according to the principles established by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the human rights treaty which sets out the civil, political, economic, social, health and cultural rights of children. The hotline service is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with professional crisis counselors who can provide assistance to children and teenagers throughout Italy.
