A new one for me................

Submitted by sprostoni on

Being a full time resident here in Italy, we are having a month or so on holiday in another EU country (not in the UK, our country of origin). Does anybody know what 'travel' related health cover are we 'entitled' to ? When in the UK I think we had a basic EHIC card, topped up by travel insurance.

Any thoughts would be great .......

Unusual tree

Submitted by Penny on

When walking in the woods in the mountains this weekend we saw a tree I have never seen before. It has leaves like a birch and hadfruit growing in clusters. The fruit were apple green (about the size of small plums), smelt like apples and had a texture like an apple. Anyone got any ideas what it was?

Ancona - Stansted flights after March 23 2012?

Anybody have any inside info on this route next year? I am a bit worried there seems no sign of any post March 23. The Stansted to Pescara, Perugia, Rome etc flights are up and selling across the summer (though no Saturday flights to Pescara and they are hideous times on the days they are running 0630 Pescara departures? aargh).
We have been down to only 4 days a week in winter but surely they are not cancelling the route in summer, or are they? I see they have not scheduled summer flights to any of the current Ancona routes, just hope that Ryanair are not pulling out of Ancona.
