I am currently using 3 for internet, but I was wondering if anyone has good or bad experiences to share about getting internet installed in your home in Italy?

What is the best internet service provider in Italy? What internet companies should be avoided? How did you deal with getting the landline that is necessary?

And, if you dont mind me asking, how much do you pay per month for Italian internet?

this may be a bit esoteric but I have just put up 3 updated Excel models on www.heatingitaly.com in the downloads section.  These cover panel angles with a graphical study on how fitting oversize - wet -panels with steep angles can give a really usefully extended solar production period.   Seeing that PV panel suppliers use 30 degrees slope round here I built the panel angle model to check for maximum production, month by month, and the result was strangely exactly 30 degrees, not 29 or 31, just 30.  The data

We are driving down to Italy later on in the year and wondered if anyone can recommend somewhere decent to stay (that includes breakfast) between Lucern and Sarnen in Switzerland. We have been trawling the web, but nothing has taken our fancy yet, so thought someone here may be able to recommend somewhere. We will be staying one night and may not get there till quite late in the evening, so somewhere near to a restuarant would probably be good. Do they do little B & B's or are most places hotels in that area?

Can anyone help me with an idea of how much it might cost to heat a small 2 bed apt over the winter, and also whether it might be more economical to use the air con unit instead of halogen or fan heaters.     During January the air con unit was in use most of the day but the heat didn't circulate around the rooms properly.

All suggestions to maximise efficiency and reduce costs will be welcomed.
