Alps

Next year when we go to our house in Southern Italy we plan on driving down instead of flying. We will be approaching Italy from Switzerland and want to see as much of the Alps as possible without losing the view by going through too many tunnels.

Would be interested to hear what is considered the best route to achieve this.

Many thanks

CERTIFICATE of HABITATION

Submitted by edcro1 on

I have read just about everything that I can find about this subject, searched the internet and the old forum which still holds loads of good information and I am still confused. So if anybody can tell me in layman's terms, easy to understand language, what is required to obtain a certificate of habitation? Do I need to produce documents to say the new electrics were done by a qualified electrician, the bathroom done by a qualified builder I have almost completed my renovation, I have electricity new wiring; hot and cold running water, no kitchen and a bed to sleep in.

Greetings from Wales

Hello Everyone - I've just arrived at this interesting community and just thought I'd say Hello to you all.

I'm going to be visiting northern Italy next year with my sister and we'd rather not be the typical tourist. We prefer to 'get down and dirty' (an English saying) with the locals and this Community seems perfect to learn a little more about this wonderful country.

If you want a laugh, do head over to our Blog (recently started) called Our Italian Holidays to have a little look at our preparations.
