You can rent an entire Italian home via Airbnb. We had very good luck in Modena and Murano, Venice using that site. Our hosts were very helpful and provided many excellent recommendations. Make sure to check out Lerici and take the ferry to Cinque Terre. Spectacular sights! Enjoy!
Use Google Maps and then choose public transportation (the icon is a bus) then enter from/to (to Lerici, Italy). Options should come up showing trains from your location to Sarzana. From Sarzana you take the S bus to Lerici. A ferry in Lerici will take you to Cinque Terre. Lerici is a beautiful seaside village. Enjoy.
