Buying a Property with a Non Italian Company

I know that it is possible to buy property in Italy through a foreign company but does anybody have advice on this? Do you pay the same taxes when purchasing as you do when buying as a foreign individual? Thanks   Clive

Engineer in Piedmont for Structural Survey of Concrete Render

We are currently looking at buying a farmhouse to restore South of Alba in Piedmont but I am concerned about one end of the house that has been partially rendered in concrete with a wire reinforcing grid below the render (see photos).

Thanks Alan, its easy to sit at a distance and convince yourself of all sorts of possible disaster scenarios. Why do you suggest only going to an engineer after the geometra? Is a geometra really qualified for such a survey? I agree that is not an architect's field.
