Hi, I need some repairs done to the house & wanted to borrow about 10% of the value of my house. The loan would be against the house & I have approached an Italian bank, who says that I need to show enough earnings in Italy to easily pay back the loan. I have searched the forum & found some good advice, but its a bit dated. I was hoping things might have changed a little & that someone might be able to advise me on a good Italian bank or 2, that does not only lend you money when you dont actually need it!!!

My word............somethings take the biscuit, in todays daily mail there is an article about some Italians squatting in a hotel in the UK!.............this takes the whole packet of biscuits !!!

Our house in Fara Filiorum Petri has come along loads. Spending most holidays there. ended up doing most of the work ourselves due to the reliability of the local tradesmen.

I have just joined and would appreciate some advice.

We have an apartment on the east coast of Corsica where the majority of the other complex owners are Italian i guess because of easy access.

Unfortunately we cannot find the time to use the apartment and would therefore like to offer it for sale complete with a guaranteed rental income.

The question is how do i access interested Italian buyers?
