Hello,

We are looking to permanently rent (ie 1or 2 years initialy) a parking space or garage near to trapani airport, and a short taxi ride, between the airport and palermo.

We want to be able to park the car on the way to the airport and taxi the rest and vice versa when we travel to and from England.

Our house is near termini imerese.

Any help or suggestions please, also what should we expect to pay.

Hi I've just joined the community and wondered if anyone can offer any advice/surgestions to assist my and my wife's move to Italy. We have both retired and are very active, my wife paints and we both play golf several times a week. Two years ago we purchased a "skeleton" of a house near Fara Filiorum (Abruzzo), It is almost ready to occupy, and the question of moving furniture to Italy must be considered. Does any one know of any vans or lorries travelling between Suffolk and Abruzzo that could take part or whole loads? Any removal companies that are reccommended etc

Can anyone advise us re a good place to get winter tyres for a volkswagon golf? I think we need wheels as well as tyres in order to change em all over, plus a spare I guess.

We are close to Amandola/Sarnano but happy to travel a bit further to save costs.

Do we need chains as well as snow tyres a/ to comply with local laws and b/ if we live on a hill which is likely to get icy..
