legal transfer

Submitted by sarah on

hi

not used the community for a long time, was wondering if anyone can help. i purchased a property about 10 years ago with two family members and now we are hoping to agree that i will take over full ownership of the property. there will be no payment and all we wish to do it to make a legal transfer into my name. does anyone know how easy / straightforward this is? are there any complicated considerations or worse financial/tax implications? i dont know where to start, perhaps back to our original notaio?

appreciate any help or info

thanks sarah

Looking for a couple of months winter let in the south.

Submitted by cardi on

We would love to spend some time this coming winter in south Italy but based on our previous experience don't think we can afford it. We were able to use 'bungalows' in campsites in the past but these are summer only and the occasional hotel just decimated our finances.
Winter Morocco, Spain, Portugal and France we have done and can afford it, but Italy.
Does anyone have anything to offer?
A horizontal sleeping position and a bit of water would be a nice luxury.

Biometric Passport

Can some one please tell me who I contact in order to make an appointment to enable me to renew my old passport for a biometric one.

I have been on line searching the appropriate webb sites, also spoken to the community represenative for my area who used to deal with the renewal of the old type passports..............at the moment I am just going round in circles.

Have been back one week from our trip to Bagni. The new house is looking good, we were all ready to put up the spiral staircase BUT... one step missing! Still one week of climibing a practically vertical ladder many times a day has done wonders for my thighs!

Anyway....  we went to buy a ktichen at IKEA in Florence. Did not feel too guilty as we have put many, many thousands of pounds into our local economy already. WE SPENT 9 HOURS THERE! Is this a record?

Hello All

Submitted by Rendin on

Just wanted to stick my head above the parapet and say hello, after weeks of silently trawling the community pages, marveling  at the amount of useful information on display! Our position is that after years of regularly visiting Italy we have decided to move there permanently. Now, that's the big decision out of the way, but the myriad of smaller ones! My head is beginning to ache. If anyone can point me to a reliable estate agent in Northern Tuscany that would be a great start.

Question about italian notary

Submitted by alexcal on

i am italian born but am resident in london and currently going through the process of inheriting an apartment property in sicily. i have to attend a meeting with a notary to sign a document for completion.
there is a point of contention which i am unsure about and not sure if the notary is dealing with the matter correctly.
please could someone explain what a notary is? are they answerable to anyone legal body/organisation?
as i understand they deal with non-contentious issues, is this correct?

any help with this matter would appreciated
