Sad State of the Parco dei Cervi near San Ruffino

The last few weeks, have been walking the dog past the above park area in the evenings. The picnic/viewing area is virtually overgrown, with only the first few metres of grass having been cut, empty plastic bottles strewn around the bins etc. This is nothing like last year, so obviously interest has been lost even though it is dedicated to a young deceased vet from a local family.I know that earlier they were talking about a cull of the deer and yesterday evening I only saw 7, for the first time in weeks, as against 14 last year, and that was quite late in the evening. Maybe the rest are in the undergrowth, or at least I hope so.
